Stevenage and District Amateur Radio Society are having an open day on Saturday 4th October at the Stevenage Resource Centre, Chells Way SG2 0LT where we invite anyone to come along and find out what we are about.
Amateur radio, also known as ham radio, provides numerous benefits to the community, including serving as a reliable communication lifeline during emergencies (RAYNET-UK) and fostering a sense of community through shared knowledge and interests. It also supports global connectivity, education, and personal development.
Maybe you are an Amateur Radio Operator and didn’t know Stevenage has a club? Maybe you are interested in radio Communications? Maybe you are interested in electronics? Then we invite you to come along and see what we are about.
We give free training in obtaining your Amateur Radio Licence and after care when you have become newly licensed, when you pass your licence through our training program you get 6 months free membership with Stevenage and District Amateur Radio Society (SADARS).
