Stevenage and District Amateur Radio Society (SADARS) celebrated a massive milestone on the 20th June 2026 by taking part in the global International Museums Weekend event. The special broadcast coincided with the society’s 70th year anniversary. To mark seven decades of community and communication, the club hosted an event in the Stevenage museum featuring a spectacular timeline display of vintage and modern radios spanning the last 70 years. Operating as part of the “Museums on the Air” weekend, SADARS set up temporary radio stations in the museum to connect with other heritage sites and enthusiasts worldwide. We did have trouble due to being in an area not too good for reception.
