On the 14th June 2026 SADARS Joined in on the annual Stevenage Day event. on the day we set up the SADARS gazebo and put up a 40m efhw in an inverted L, but due to the bad bands (geomagnetic storm) we didnt get many SSB contacts. As it was our 70th anniversary we set up a display showing a range of radios over the last 70 years (thanks to Chris G1RPO). We got some interest from children that seemed to like the Morse code activity. We set up Dave’s (M7WVX) Icom IC-7300 mkII with an external screen so the public could see, but as the bands were bad, we switched it up and had a go on FT8 and did get a few contacts there. Overall it was a good day, with people wondering in and out most of the day
